  1. Follow these instructions to get a complete uninstall
  2. of Advanced Speed Typing. Otherwise you will have to 
  3. remove the directories and icons manually. 
  4.  
  5. To uninstall Advanced Speed, you should first delete
  6. these files from the Advanced Speed default directory 
  7. (C:\Program Files\Advanced Speed Typing\AST 98 1.1),
  8. or else from whatever other directory you chose to
  9. install the program in. (You can use the "Windows
  10. Explorer" -- not to be confusedwith "Internet Explorer"
  11. --to locate and remove these files.)

  13. Delete:
  14. Name.dat   -- (holds names of all users)
  15. Charts.dat -- (created for all users)
  16.  
  17. Note: if you added any other files to the Advanced Speed
  18. program directory, then you will have to remove these 
  19. also.

  21. After this, click the Windows 95 "Start" button and then 
  22. select "Settings/Control Panel".  Once Control Panel is 
  23. open, double click the "Add/Remove Programs" icon. After 
  24. the "Add/Remove Programs Properties" window is open, 
  25. select the "Install/Uninstall" tab at the top. Now click 
  26. on "Advanced Speed Typing 98 v1.1" in the list box to
  27. highlight it, and select the "Add/Remove..." programs
  28. button to the lower right. When the dialog box opens,
  29. confirm that you want to remove the program by clicking
  30. the "Yes" button.  The uninstall program will now run
  31. and completely remove all Advanced Speed files, 
  32. directories, and icons.
